A pagan evening:
18.00 – getting ready
Organisational matters
•Familiarisation with the game
•Setting up groups
•Dressing up
19.00 – Start
At the hotel, everybody is supplied with clothes of which there are two different kinds. Druids and Warriors and divide themselves into several tribes. We go to a designated area in Puszcza.
The march at night through a gravel pit in the torchlight is an unforgettable experience. Everybody takes care to stick closely together, we are surrounded by darkness, we pass fallen trees, we come to a great fork in the path, until we finally reach the first person of Puszcza. We discover the task which we must fulfil in order to find out a part of the spell, thanks to which we can enter the place of ritual (where we become at one with the spirit of Puszcza). The task is of two-fold nature to be solved by druids (by reason) and warriors (by strength). Having successfully carried out these tasks, we discover the next part of the spell and move on. During our wanderings we have some other difficult tasks which have to be completed.
If we are able to leave Puszcza in one piece, we reach the old gravel pit which is divided into four sections (gravel mine with a quaternary cross-section). If we give the right spell, we are allowed to enter. There we wait for all the tribes, who should gather within a quarter of an hour or so. The whole journey draws to a conclusion in a Pagan ritual intended to reconcile all the tribes of the earth with the spirit of Puszcza.
Music is played throughout, strange pictures appear on the walls of the gravel pit (multi-media projections). The meeting culminates in the burning of a great figure around which all the guests stand (which symbolises our being at one with the spirit of Puszcza Bia³owieska).
21.00 Evening
Fun in the Bia³owieski hotel’s night club with alternative Pagan music (dressing up and a slide-show depicting scenes from Puszcza Bia³owieska).
Dawn – The end
Competitive fun and rope games
15.00 Organisational matters
•Safety conditions/measures
•Forming groups
•Rules of the game
15.30 Start
Rope games, as the name suggest, involve every kind of physical activity in which we use rope, for example:
•Tyrol style line car
crossing a rope bridge
‘cobwebs’
‘precise flying’
There are various games in the from of a peculiar Puszcza obstacle course to be completed for which you must be physically fit (fitness level of an average citizen), have a competitive spirit and an ability to make use of the help from the other paticipants in the game.
The game is based on the scoring of points. The leaders of the group will award points based on the performance of each member of the team, the activity of each player, and their ability to work as part of a team etc.
18.30 End
At the end, all the points are counted up and we exchange observations and impressions of the games. Then, results are given and prizes are awarded.
